The 2002 Saskatoon Hilltops won six games and lost two during the regular schedule of the Prairie Junior Football Conference during the 2002 season.
They eliminated Regina Thunder, 22-19, in the league semifinal and then beat Edmonton Huskies, 19-18, the second straight year they'd beaten the Huskies by a single point in the final. The Hilltops trailed by six points with six minutes to go but rallied on a touchdown pass from Bret Thompson to Travis Weiss, with Braden Suchan adding the convert.
The Hilltops beat Okanagan Sun, 55-9, in the Intergold playoff, rolling up 534 yards and getting touchdowns from six different players. The Hilltops beat St. Leonard Cougars, 20-18, in the Canadian final. The Hilltops were down, 14-8, at the half but rallied to take the lead and Mickey Jutras sealed the deal with a last-minute interception. Gabe Mackasey was chosen as Canada's outstanding defensive player for the season.
