Curling out of the Hub City Curling Club, the 1961 McKee team successfully defended their Saskatoon City and Northern Provincial titles, advancing to the Provincial final in North Battleford. In the best-of-three games in the final, the McKee foursome lost their initial game, then won two straight 11-7, 11-4, to retain the provincial title for a second consecutive year.
With this victory, the McKee team earned the right to represent Saskatchewan at the first Dominion Diamond "D" classic, the official ladies Curling Championship, at the Ottawa Hunt Golf and Curling Club. The McKee foursome swept through the competition with a perfect 9-0 record, defeating each of the other provincial representatives.
