1947 Saskatoon Grey Cab RamblersThe 1946 Ramblers continued to have success in 1947 behind the pitching of Muriel Coben and Louise Vawter. After winning the city championships in Saskatoon, the Ramblers defeated the Regina Eilers Vics, three games to one in the provincial playoffs. Then they boarded the train to travel to Winnipeg to play the C.U.A.C. Blues in a best-of-five series for the Western Canadian Championship.

Saskatoon won the opener, then lost the second game to the Blues 6-3, but came back to win the third game 4-0 behind the pitching of Coben and the hitting of Thelma Grambo and Dot George. The Ramblers retained the Western Canadian title when they won the fourth game in the 13th inning. A single by Martha Caudle gave pitcher Louise Vawter a 2-1 victory before 2,800 fans.
