Rocky has given all of his adult life to the service of others. His list of accomplishments as a builder is varied. Rocky helped establish the Saskatoon Riversdale Track and Field club and served as director for 16 years. Rocky has been involved with the Indoor Games since its inception, as a committee member, meet director, or both.
Rocky spearheaded the building of Mayfair Pool, worked as league commissioner for the Playground Hockey League and was a sports co-coordinator in 1979. He was co-chairman for the 1978 Seagram Mixed curling championships and served many years with the Saskatoon Men's Curling Association. The Kiwanis Baseball league had the benefit of Rocky's expertise for 24 years.
In 1977, the Kinsmen honoured Rocky as Sportsman of the Year and Century Saskatoon saw fit to honour Rocky in 1982.
