Raymond WightWight is the first inductee in cycling in the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame. He was the founding president along with four founders of the Horizon 100 Cycling Club in Saskatoon in 1990, growing the club to over 255 members, making it the largest cycling club in the province. The club promotes cycling for people of all ages and abilities with distance rides from April through October. Wight's principal is to ride with the last group, making sure no one is dropped and bikes alone.

"Ray is always there to instruct, coach, offer support," said Doug Cushway, who owns Spoke 'n Sport bike shop in Saskatoon.

Wight goes the distance. Three times he has completed the Paris-Brest-Paris event, the world's oldest road cycling event.

He has written articles for Pedal Magazine, a national monthly publication.

In addition to cycling, Wight coached and competed in badminton for almost 30 years. He was the badminton coach at Kelsey Institute and the manager of the Riverside Badminton & Tennis Club.
