Jamie Epp won a Canadian university title in his second season with the Saskatchewan Huskies track and field team. There was a lot more to come.
Epp won the Canadian university title in the 1,500 metres three times, the 3,000 metres once and was a medallist in the distance events four other times. The time he ran in the 3,000 in 2002 still stands as the Huskies' team record.
Epp also ran cross-country races. He won the Canadian university cross-country championship twice and was twice the runner-up. His sixth national title with the Huskies was the track and field team championship won by the Green and White in 2001-02 in Sherbrooke.
Epp was a medallist in the Canadian junior and senior track and field championships.
He has represented Canada in five international competitions, highlighted by placing fifth in the 10,000 metres at the 1999 Pan American junior championships in Tampa.
