Duk Sang Ha
Tae Kwon Do (2012)Duk Sang Ha started training in taekwondo at home when he was six. By the time he was 12 he had a black belt. At age 25, he competed in the world championships.
Ha was a Canadian champion seven times from 1989 to 2000 in forms, which is a demonstration of taekwondo patterns. He was twice Canada's national champ in the flyweight division.
He finished in the top 16 at the 1999 world championships in Edmonton. A year later, Ha competed at a World Cup in Lyon, France, and was on the Canadian team in the Pan American championships in Aruba.
Ha was named male athlete of the year by Taekwondo Canada in 2000.
Ha has been involved in taekwondo for more than 33 years and is the master instructor and vice-president of Kee's Tae Kwon Do.
Both his father Kee and brother Yoon are in the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame, Kee as a builder and Yoon as an athlete.
