CANADIAN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS
The Hilltops had an
uphill battle all season but managed to win the big games. The Regina
Rams were unbeaten during the regular season. The Hilltops, with a
record of five wins and three losses, sidelined the Edmonton Wildcats
24-15 in the semi-final, then won a tough 31-24 contest over the
Rams. The western final was another struggle with the Tops winning
28-26over the Richmond Raiders. In the Canadian championship game in
Ottawa, the Hilltops beat the Sooners 29-11.
