CANADIAN JUNIOR FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS
The 1959 Hilltops
made it two years in a row. Although losing two games during the regular
season, the Hilltops defeated the Winnipeg Weston Wildcats 26-16 in a
sudden-death final. The Toppers whipped the Vancouver North Shore
Cougars 61-7 in the western final. Saskatoon had no problem defeating
Toronto North York Knights 46-7 to win the Regina Leader Trophy.
The team has been
inducted in the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame.
