Bryant new president of Hall
Ed Bryant, prominent in the baseball community as a coach, umpire and administrator, was elected president of the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame at the annual general meeting in February. Bryant was inducted into the Hall of Fame as a builder in 2005. His term as president runs for three years.
2009 Kinsmen Sportsman of the Year
Bill Gordon, a 2008 inductee in the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame as a builder, was named Sask-atoon Kinsmen Sportsman of the Year at the 49th annual Kinsmen Sports Celebrity dinner in February. Gordon has played a prominent role in the growth of basketball in Saskatoon as a coach, official and administrator. He introduced the Wildwood summer basketball camps for Grades 5 to 12, has served a president of the Saskatoon Senior Men’s League and has coached community and high school teams. Gordon becomes the 40th builder in the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame to receive the Kinsmen Sportsman Award.

On behalf of the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame, I sincerely congratulate and welcome the slate of selected inductees for induction into the Saskatoon Sports Hall of Fame, Nov., 1, 2008 at TCU Place. The time and effort, as well as their accomplishments that these individuals contributed to the Saskatoon sporting community, make them most deserving of this recognition.
I encourage and ask all past inductees to make the effort to honour the inductees of 2008 by attending the dinner and induction ceremony as they are about to become part of the same, special, sporting fraternity.
